In recent years, China's battery industry by rapid development, China's battery industry has become the largest producer and consumer countries. Battery as battery products with higher levels of technology products because of their relative environmental protection, and can be reused, greatly welcome domestic and foreign markets. As China's Guangdong battery production and export bases of the battery export growth year after year. According to customs statistics, in recent years exports of Guangdong Province battery was fast growth state, and in 2004 exports amounted to 1.42 billion, up 48.5%. 2005 export 1.59 billion, an increase of 12.6%. This year, the impact of restrictions on exports by foreign countries fell, and export 810 million, worth 1.17 billion US dollars, respectively over the same period last year (the same below) fell 3.2% and 10.7% growth.

     First lead-acid battery manufacturing industry there has been high water consumption and highly polluting two main issues. According to the Guangdong Provincial Environmental Protection Bureau statistics, at present, Guangdong Province has the lead-acid battery production of large and small enterprises more than 600, lead-acid batteries produce about 200 million, the number of enterprises, and lead-acid battery production ranked first in the entire country. Guangdong's annual production of lead-acid batteries, used to supply more than half of foreign markets. Lead-acid battery industry in view of the high water consumption and prone to high pollution, and lead-acid battery of Guangdong exports maintained rapid growth, must be given attention. If we can not effectively address the high level of water consumption and high pollution problems, Guangdong Province will build a resource-saving and environment-friendly society have adverse effects.
